COLORS

There are 4 types of colors- primary, secondary, tertiary or intermediate, and complementary. There are 5 color harmonies- monochromatic, warm colors, cool colors, analogous colors, triadic harmony.

Jaguar sketch

Here is a drawing of a jaguar. It took me about a year and a half to finish, but only because i took constant breaks(VERY constant). I used, again, charoal and pencil. I haven't named it yet, so I could use some suggestions. I'm thinking about doing it in color, but I don't know how it would turn out(=

This is a drawing I did a couple months ago. It's a charcoal and pencil drawing of a horse. It's also a little smudgy because I didn't have the time to spray it with protective covering. I LOVE to draw animals, especially horses. I usually draw them from a picture.

Lines. What are they?

Lines are elements of art that are used to define shape, contours, outlines, and suggest mass and volume. It may be a continuous mark made on a surface with a pointed tool or implied by the edges of shapes and forms. There are 6 types of lines: Outlines, Contour lines, Gesture lines, Sketch lines, Calligraphic lines, and Implied lines.
